Delegation from CAGC Conducts Research Visit to Yiwu Research Institute of Fudan University

    To better plan and advance university–local government cooperation through global partnership initiatives, on November 27, a delegation from the Center for Advancing Global Collaboration of Fudan University—including Deputy Directors Xu Yefang, Wang Lina, and Huang Xiayun, as well as Yang Yixian from the Center's Strategic Planning Department—visited the Yiwu Research Institute for an investigative exchange.

    Wang Jing, Director of the Yiwu Research Institute, together with Deputy Directors Lu Qiyong and Deng Yunxia, and Huang Ran, participated in the discussion and exchange.

    Xu Yefang and her delegation visited the exhibition hall of the Zhongfu Building, where the research institute is located, to learn about the construction progress and interim achievements of the institute. They inspected the spatial layout, infrastructure, and surrounding facilities of the building, and held a discussion with the institute's leadership. Subsequently, they proceeded to the Shuangjiang Lake Science and Education Park in Yiwu City for a field investigation of the planned campus plot for the research institute.

    At the symposium, the leadership of Yiwu Research Institute provided a detailed introduction to the progress of the institute's localization work and the achievements of school-city cooperation in recent years. They also presented the proposed planning scheme for the Shuangjianghu campus of the institute. Both parties engaged in lively discussions on how to combine Yiwu's actual situation and the existing foundation of city-school cooperation, focusing on corresponding disciplines and the needs of school departments. They systematically planned the next step of cooperation around key directions such as the Belt and Road Initiative, talent cultivation, high-end training, and the integration of scientific research and industrialization, aiming to elevate city-school cooperation to a new level.

    During their stay in Yiwu, the delegation also investigated the construction of universities in Yiwu, such as the Yiwu City Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and the Zhejiang University International Medical College for the Belt and Road Initiative.
